Producing one of the largest crowds on the PGA TOUR, the Waste Management Phoenix Open has gained legendary status for being a unique golf tournament. It is one of the fifth oldest events on the PGA TOUR schedule and features one of the most uncommon holes on the TOUR – the 16th.
During most of the year, the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale is a 162-yard, par-3, but come Phoenix Open week, the hole is transformed into a stadium with room for 15,000 excited fans. It’s a unique opportunity for players and fans to interact.
Add in 132 of the top golfers on the PGA TOUR including Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson and Brandt Snedeker just to name a few and it’s not surprising to see why this event has grown into the renowned event it is today.
The fun doesn’t stop when the sun sets. Around 4:00, the party heats up at the Coors Light Birds Nest. The Birds Nest features different artists every year. While the music each night may be different, one thing doesn’t change – The Coors Light Birds Nest is the place to see and be in seen in Scottsdale during the Phoenix Open!
